About the tides at Shoppee Point

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Englishman Bay, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. Shoppee Point sees a mean range of about 11.6 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. That is larger than most Maine stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 14.1 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 10.5 ft, on Sunday.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Eastport, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them.
