About the tides at Snipe Keys, Middle Narrows

Snipe Keys, Middle Narrows has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Key West. The mean range is small, about 1.4 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 1.8 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 26, with a range of 2.4 ft. Neap tides follow on October 20, when the range shrinks to 1.5 ft.
