About the tides at Tide Point

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Port Townsend, Admiralty Inlet. With a mean range of about 5.4 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 11.1 ft, comes on October 29, and the smallest, 2.4 ft, on October 27. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 9.4 ft on December 26 and bottom out at −3.4 ft on July 4.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Port Townsend, Admiralty Inlet, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Strawberry Bay, 2 mi away. For tidal currents, see Strawberry Island, west of.

Predictions are based on Port Townsend, Admiralty Inlet.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
