About the tides at Trenton
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.7 ft. The range is large, about 7.7 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is larger than most New Jersey stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 10, with a range of 9.3 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 7.4 ft.
This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. The nearest other station is Newbold, 4 mi away. For tidal currents, see Newbold Island north of, Main Channel.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
