About the tides at Tuckerton, Tuckerton Creek
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.3 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Sandy Hook, Fort Hancock. The average range is about 2.1 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most New Jersey stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.5 ft. The next spring tides peak on Saturday, with a range of 2.7 ft. Neap tides follow on October 20, when the range shrinks to 1.3 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 2.9 ft on August 2, and the lowest is −0.6 ft on January 23.
