About the tides at Tuxedni Channel

Tuxedni Channel has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at SELDOVIA, Kachemak Bay. The tide range here is very large, about 13.8 ft on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site.

Tuxedni Channel is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting SELDOVIA, Kachemak Bay: highs come about 39 min and lows about 53 min later than there.
