About the tides at Uncatena Island (south side)

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Uncatena Island, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Newport, Narragansett Bay. On a typical day the water moves about 3.4 ft between high and low. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 4.6 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 2.0 ft, on October 18. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 5.0 ft on September 2 and bottom out at −0.8 ft on January 23.
