About the tides at Eel Point

Eel Point has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at Boston. On a typical day the water moves about 2.2 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most Massachusetts stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 2.8 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 2.1 ft, on Sunday.
