About the tides at Green Island

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Petit Manan Bar, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Portland,casco Bay. The tide range here is very large, about 10.2 ft on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. The next spring tides peak on October 26, with a range of 13.7 ft. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 7.1 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 13.4 ft on December 25, and the lowest is −2.1 ft on January 23.
