About the tides at Jones Inlet (Point Lookout)

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Jones Inlet (Point Lookout), each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Sandy Hook, Fort Hancock. The average range is about 3.5 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. The next spring tides peak on October 10, with a range of 4.6 ft. Neap tides follow on Saturday, when the range shrinks to 3.5 ft.
