About the tides at Perenosa Bay
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Kodiak Island, Womens Bay. With a mean range of about 8.8 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 12.7 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 6.9 ft, on October 19. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 13.9 ft on December 24 and bottom out at −2.2 ft on July 5.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Kodiak Island, Womens Bay, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Seal Bay, 8 mi away. For tidal currents, see East Shuyak Strait Entrance.
Predictions are based on Kodiak Island, Womens Bay.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
