About the tides at Seal Bay

Seal Bay has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at KODIAK, Womens Bay. The range is large, about 8.7 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 12.6 ft. Neap tides follow on Tuesday, when the range shrinks to 8.8 ft.

Seal Bay is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting KODIAK, Womens Bay: highs come about 29 min and lows about 36 min later than there. The nearest other station is Tonki Bay, 7 mi away, where high tide comes about 17 min earlier. For tidal currents, see East Shuyak Strait Entrance.

Predictions are based on KODIAK, Womens Bay.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
