About the tides at Port Snettisham, Crib Point

Port Snettisham, Crib Point has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at Juneau. The tide range here is very large, about 13.3 ft on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 20.0 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 10.4 ft.
