About the tides at Security Cove

Security Cove has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka, Baronof Island, Sitka Sound. The range is large, about 8.3 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 13.6 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −3.2 ft on July 5.
