About the tides at Squibnocket Point

Squibnocket Point has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. On a typical day the water moves about 2.8 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most Massachusetts stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 3.7 ft, comes on October 10, and the smallest, 2.6 ft, on Sunday.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Newport, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them.
