About the tides at Taylors Bridge
Taylors Bridge has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The average range is about 2.7 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Delaware stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 10, with a range of 3.3 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 2.6 ft.
Taylors Bridge is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Artificial Island, 5 mi away, where high tide comes about 2 h 28 m earlier. For tidal currents, see Appoquinimink River entrance.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
