About the tides at Sea Otter Harbor

Sea Otter Harbor has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka, Baronof Island, Sitka Sound. The range is large, about 7.2 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 13.9 ft. Neap tides follow tomorrow, when the range shrinks to 2.8 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 12.4 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −3.3 ft on July 5.
